Uses:
This material is a kind of nonionic surfactant, served as antistatic agent in the production of polyethylene, polypropylene and ABS. During propylene polymerization, addition of Antistatic agent 163 can reduce the activity of polymer particle to prevent the particle sticking on the wall of reactors and equipments. It should be charged into the system during the units are run on and off for pre-venting block at the outlet of flashing vessel.
The agent is mainly used as deactive agent of triethyl aluminum in PP’s process such as Ba-sell’s Spheripol loop reactor. When Antistatic agent 163 is charged at outlet, the polymer particles’activity can be eliminated so the particles will not block pipes. The residual triethyl aluminum can be de-activated when Antistatic agent 163 is used in propylene washing tower and waste oil tank.
